After storing the coach post-glamping trip, I headed south towards the beach. En route, I spoke with Felix, who revealed that he was vacating the site I had directed him to the previous week. He noted a scarcity of targets. Being already en route, I opted to scrutinize the area and see if he had indeed missed any potential targets. The plethora of targets suggested he might not have turned on his device. As it turned out, today was fortunate for me, and I succeeded in striking gold. I am thankful to Felix for apparently not using his machine, which enabled me to find an additional chain.

Again? :yes: Don't blame Felix, He was testing out a new waterproof Trident Viper guess it still lacks depth... :D

How did Felix miss that chain????

:dingding: Congrats on that big bucks find. :gettinmoney: Although I do believe it would've fit better on me had my coil gone over it. :lol:

Felix missed that chain because Felix has a different strategy. My strategy is coverage. Usually inside first and then outside. Although he did mention that beach to me, I had never hunted it. I started about a mile south before it. When I went through the area (that I didn't know), it , seemed as sanded-in as the rest of the over 2 miles that I covered in my 5 hours out there yesterday. There was no indication to me in any area, that I needed to slow down and grid. under-D-Water had recently hunted it, and knew there was recent erosion, so he returned and scoured the small area. When you are familiar with a beach that you hunt that's a big advantage. He put his coil over it and I did not when I detected through there.

Damn , that's a nice chain. I hunt the exact same way. No way you can get your coil over every square inch when you're trying to cover miles. It's not a small 200 yard cove you can do in a couple of hours. I'm all over the place. Parallel , zig-zag , looking for cuts , depressions , scallops. Anything that yields targets that causes me to slow down and carefully grid. Nobody gets it all.

Time =Volume=Targets=$

Dam! Those detectors are currently out of stock!:lol:
A certain company used to sell them for over a thousand dollars, I don't believe they worth anymore than $10 max... I was hunting a beach years ago and finding lots of silver coins and such.. a younger kid about 14 with his dad was swinging a viper hearing nothing so I threw down some of the silver coins it would detect a quarter at 1 inch, past that nada lol... if it cant see silver its not going to find the yellow metal.

Cuban style chain. Damn! That is worth a couple of paycheks. You don't seem very excited about it. Additional gold😎 . Have you find a couple of them already?
