Had a stellar 6.5 hours metal detecting one of my good sites! My new Minelab Equinox 900 slayed it - six late 1800s/early 1900s silver Barber coins, 5 V nickels, one shield nickel, four Indian head cents, two wheats, half a gold ring, old town dog tax tag and a button!

Wow, congrats on the new minelab and the hunt!! :D

That’s a lot of silver. Good job. Was this a site you’ve been to with other detectors? The 900 has been a game changer on the trashy sites for me.

congratulations, many silver coins. Did you have problems with false iron tones and vdi numbers? I say this because I am tempted to buy an Equinox 900 but these problems made me doubt it a lot.

Not sure what people are doing to see that. I have not any any of those issues and I hunt in iron a lot. The 900 has been awesome for me. Never had any false silvers being iron. I loved my 600 and I love the added separation on the 900!
