Nokta Legend owners

I'm lost with your explanation of why the legend rings high with ferrous materials. The pie charts don't mean anything to me, so don't take it wrong if I sound like I'm not getting what you're laying down. You are an extremely knowledgeable detector with more experience and probably more education than me.

I dropped a peace dollar coin on the ground and it rang up high, the chunk of rusted iron rings up the same. Please someone explain in plain man words why the Legend (or any other machine) can be fooled between a 90%+ silver coin and a rusted bolt.

If no can answer this question, I may have left a lot of silver in the ground.

i'll have to run a test on my own peace dollar to see if I get the same results. Big silver is consistent at least on the beach. This ring I found rang up 55 consistently on the beach, so the bigger the silver the bigger the number?

Ran a test on the peace dollar I bought from a coin shop. Rang up 55-59 and was loud when right over it. But the idea is that you'd be detecting coins that are deeper than on the surface, so it wouldn't be loud as heck. Thus it would be a dig if it were 3-4 inch or deeper cause it'd sound too good to pass up. VDI at 3-4 inches was also good, but inconsistent from 38-45-48. I think volume is key here cause if it's loud at 3-4 inches, likely to be big iron or big can, but you never know until you dig of course!
