I'm more of a coin/ jewelry enthusiast. But I would be more than happy to hunt relics and give them to property owners or museums. It's the thrill of the hunt for me. And I have not found anything higher in value than clad coins.

Another new member from the West coast of TN. Been detecting for several years. Just ordered a new Minelab Manticore and looking forward to warmer weather to try it out. Looking for people and places in West TN to go detecting with. Would like to get permission to detect old civil war camp sites or adjacent to battle grounds. Please let me know if you could use some company detecting and especially if you have land permissions.

This is the first I've heard of it. I looked it up and it looks / sounds like a good spot to fish - and only about an hour's drive for me. I was also thinking about doing some gold panning in the Coker Creek area, which is in the same (relative) area. Like you, I'm waiting for things to thaw a bit.

I'm heading to the lake Monday the 9th if you want to meet there. I'll be the guy with the Nokta picking up trash . Actually, I will hit the beach for a bit (it's not real big) then maybe walk around the lake shore and see what's been missed by others.

I went, found most of my $1.12 at the ramp. I hit the beach for an hour and picked up 3 dimes and trash. I was going to take a trip around the lake but ran out of time. We'll have to get together sometime.
