I seem to be struggling with the new format and attaching my photos. If it works it works, if it doesn't so be it!

Anyway, today's plans changed, and I wound up in one of my older field spots picking through the iron and mud and snow and chisel plowed corn...

Previous oldest coin was 1839...I beat it by four years! (Didn't ever expect to find one of these capped bust thingies around these parts...)

Great finds, I am impressed! I'm in the metro Detroit area, where about in Michigan are you located?

I am also struggling with the reply button it seems, Mark! To answer, I’ll just say I am a couple hours north of you…

Oh wow T what a find. Congrats. I would really love a capped bust. Good luck. Mark

Awesome hunt, teotw!! That Capped Bust dime is outstanding!! Great detail on it - that one got dropped pretty fresh!

Love that old tool tag and the key...it has an interesting shape to it. Maybe a drawer key or writing desk key?? Cool nonetheless! Fantastic hunt!

It's nice when your oldest coin is a silver one. I hunted a field yesterday and I can attest to the fact that the fields in the midwest are muddy and sloppy right now. That's a great Bust Dime!

Very nice!

You tied my oldest US coin. I never thought I'd find a capped bust coin in my area either. Mine was an 1835 half dime.

I was fortunate enough to dig a capped bust dime a few years back, still waiting on my little one though. Excellent find, congrats!
