This new Predator Raptor REALLY moves a lot of dirt. But it is hard to dig through the sod. A serrated edge would help.

Who or what would be able to add serrations? I have a Dremel tool but can't imagine there is some bit that would carve up such heavy steel.

A small grinder would do the trick. The thickness of a standard 4.5” disk is just about perfect for making serrations. Be sure to put it in a vice or clamp it down. Mark a depth line on your blade so that you know how deep to cut, use the edge of the disk to cut in at a slight backward angle about a quarter inch for each serration, then clean up and sharpen. Not sure how well a serrated edge will work with that blade shape.

Low tech answer: a small round file. I've put serrations (razor sharp) into a machete blade with a round file and some elbow grease.

The contractor elbow grease? Or the homeowner elbow grease?
Homeowner lol. It's a bit of work but it does the trick. Honestly I need to go get a set of round files to sharpen the serrated edges of both my hori knives but they probably won't need it for some time, those serrations hold an edge well

Love mine, like you said, moves a lot of dirt, but dry soil and longer grass can make it difficult sometimes. I put an oar end cap on mine, makes it easier to push and I try to keep a decent edge on it.
