I was on the Wheat Cent Train for a while recently, as I got out a couple of days in Western WA. Did some local curb strips and some yards, ended up with a ton of clad, about 15 wheat cents, part of a lever action rifle, and some odds and ends, but no silver coins.

Headed out on Saturday to meet a local detectorist friend, and we hit part of Tacoma WA. Turned out to be a good day, my friend pulled a thin Sterling Silver bracelet, a Silver Rosie, Merc Dime, and some wheats and change.

I started out just pulling clad, not even a wheat cent. Finally got on a good stretch of curb strip that gave me wheaties, 1941 and 1962 Silver Quarters, and a 1962 Silver Rosie. My coolest find was a hefty silver ring, Native American style, with fancy design and inset Turquoise, and what could be gold nugget flakes. Not sure, saw some similar ones on the internet that had either gold or some other stone material. One front yard gave up a stack of 3 wheat cents and a 1905 V-Nickel. Great sunny weather in the Seattle Tacoma area, happy to have gotten out a bit! Not shown are the 60+ copper Memorial cents. Pictures follow, thanks for your interest!

Nice job David. Glad to see you're back on the silvers after your slump. Sorry we weren't around to hunt with you on this trip. Hopefully next time, except it looks like we could be headed for an extended warm and dry spell that sort of limits the permission hunts. Good luck.
