but I find them so infrequently that they actually piss me off, because I’m expecting to see a nice chunky silver ring in my scoop! 😂

I know exactly what you mean. I have found two in the last three weeks. They showed 'half dollar' on my meter, so of course, I'm looking for that nice silver finish and they turned out to be a '76 and an '84....bummer. However, in April on the same property...I found a '42 Walker half dollar, so I can't complain too much.

Congrats I guess. I feel your pain I got 4 Ike dollars and a Kennedy from a spot where a house burned this year. On the bright side I've already dug 2 Walker halves this year. This is the first time I've dug two silver halves in the same year. The year is just half done, so who knows.

I just don’t find dollars and halves very often, so when I’m hitting a solid 33-35 I’m expecting a nice silver ring to be in my scoop when the sand shakes out. 😀

I've yet to uncover a half dollar, though I can see where it could be disappointing at first sight. Still, I think it's really a fun find, and it boosts the clad count by twice as much as a quarter would have! :waytogo:
