Oh dear. I saw a post on the beach detecting Australia facebook group this morning showing a water logged Manticore.
I hope this isn't the same saga as the Leakquinox!

After flooding my CTX and retiring it and my Equinox from ever going back in the water, i don't think many trust a Minelab that isn't an Excal in the water submerged any more. My CTX got water intrusion through the screen seam.

The picture I saw was water under the screen. The Manticore design looks so similar to the nox I just can't trust it.

The Excal is my go to water detector. I don't want screens just sounds.

I just want GOLD ! But I agree , screens can be a good feature particularly for dirt hunters. But for the beach , you probably dig 90% of everything anyways unless you attempt to cherrypick. Screens are just a distraction and time gobbler. And time is the 2nd most important thing when beach hunting.

You probably will use the screen if you listen to those testers who think you will get the same numbers on it substituting Styrofoam for black sand, minerals, and salt those guys are a joke. KOB when is the last time you found a gold ring next to a colonial square nail?

I don't even know what a colonial square nail looks like. Are they made of gold or something ? If not , a nail is a nail. It's trash.

That’s why I ordered the Deus 2, don’t trust my CTX, or any Minelab, in the water.
