Looking for a good place to metal detect in Glenville, Saratoga, Schenectady, Scotia New York. I would like to hunt along an old revolutionary war trail if possible but I have no idea where to look. I know the Saratoga Battle field is off limits but is there surrounding land that can be accessed?

Welcome to the forum Ruth. I think you will find most mdr's secret spots are a closely guarded secret only to be shared with a trusted friend. That said doing research and getting permission is key to success. And to get you started there are many threads right here on this forum you can research on both those subjects. Good luck. Mark

It's going to be hard to find people to give up their locations. I suggest comparing old maps that show features your looking for with current ones, and then do some door knocking in the area.
