Was out last night, I’ve been stomping the churchyard I live across from for over a decade and it still gives it up .I only go at night or dusk For an hour at best..Last night I got a good amount of clad and a silver spoon ring, which is a first for me..

The last plate with all the nickels is from tonight,, I went over and was concentrating on nickels mostly, the xterra pro will upaverage on deep 7+ inch nickels ,,but it will flash a 30 or 32 in there letting you know it’s a nickel.. I did dig a few pull tabs looking for a ring, but not many.. I like the machine, very very good regardless of price point. Thanks for looking

That was a nice outing. I like that spoon ring. I haven’t found one yet but have that on my mental list.

Grats on the nickels! I just started playing around with notching on my Minelab Vanquish 540. I need to do it more often; I just focus on a few tones, and notch out the rest. For me, the Vanquish reads 12-15 for nickels and has a mid-range kind of beep. If it's reading a solid 15, it's most likely a pulltab. but if it fluctuates 12-15, while still being a solid tone, it's normally either a nickel, or a shotgun shell head. I need to spend more time learning my machine, and I'm not very methodical about it!

Church yards can hold some great rewards Pete and your hunt proves it. Just picked up a active rural church permission myself. Was built in 1870 so it could hold some pretty interesting rewards. Trapper
