Legend Tone Pitch

I use it a lot for hunting in 1800s to early 1900s iron trashed sites. It gives me a really good 2 tone VCO audio read on ferrous vs non-ferrous targets even in a site full of square nails and tin.

I hunted a late 1800s high altitude site last week with high iron mineralization and lots of square nails and tin shards in the first 5 inches of dirt with a layer of hard clay underneath so nothing too deep. I was using the Legend, 6" coil, version 1.11 software, Field M2, disc set on G, sensitivity 23, ferrous/non ferrous tone break 10, recovery speed 5, iron filter 1, iron stability 4, bottle cap 0, ground stability 0 with 2 tone VCO Pitch Tones. There was minimal falsing even on dirt that by itself was maxing out the iron mineralization meter. Ferro Check was spot on for these shallower targets too.

I actually hunted the exact same area that I had already hunted with Deus 2 using version 1.0 software and was surprised by how many non-ferrous targets I found fairly easily with the Legend that I could not pick out with Deus 2 due to a ton of falsing. XP released the version 1.1 update that same day which is helping Deus 2 falsing quite a bit so far.

Wow that's a lot of info, thanks.
Got my Legend a couple of weeks ago, it will be some time before I understand some of those many options. Lol
But I am finding good stuff and enjoying the machine.
