Posted a wanted to buy ad here for the LG24 and sponsor Phil Myers from Myers Metal Detectors said he had one. That was last week. I ordered it from his website. A day or two later the item was listed as out of stock, as it seems to most everywhere.

Well it arrived today and i am very happy with it. Phis was kind enough to include a nice towel, some decals, and a florida beach calendar.

Maybe i got the last LG24 in this hemisphere!

Now i will be considering an LG30. Crazy, it is bigger but lighter than the stock LG28. Why doesn't Nokta just make it the standard coil?

I called Phil as well on Sat but he said he was fresh out. I guess you were the lucky one who got it. But on monday my regular dealer contacted me and said he just got one in so I am getting mine tomorrow.

If it is anything the one for the Kruzer it is going to be a great coil. I had this same set up on it and I kept it on there regularly.

As far as the lg30 goes they just came out with this new design to help balance the legend out from being slightly nose heavy and to help reduce overall weight with the new carbon fibre parts. If you look on noktas website they have made the new lg30 and carbon fiber parts standard on the unit.

Other than that both configurations are the exact same unit. No difference in the control pod system or operating system.

I just got the legend about a week ago myself. It is the regular one with the lg28 coil.

I too found it to be off balance but I discovered if you adjust it to where more of the middle shaft is in the control rod and extend more of the lower stock carbon fiber rod it readjust the feel of the original design a lot better.

I waited a long time before I pulled the trigger on the legend. I kept up with the forums on it ever since it came out watching the problems everyone was having with the firmware system. It seems they have finally ironed out the kinks and everyone is happy. I wish it had a tid scale to 99 though.

Other than the target ID scale and the quirky strange menu system I find it to be a very good detector.
