It's time to bring Sophie back...(Detectorists fans please step in.)

I got a VPN for my Starlink last night. It’s cheap and the wife likes British comedies, so she’ll be happy to be able to watch the BBC channels.

I'm going to try VPV in case a torrent never exists.

I really dont think thats gonna be a problem. Every single episode was on the stream the next day for the first seasons. Or the next half-day i guess- it was always there when i got on the next morning in the US.
But nothing wrong with streaming! There's more than 1 way to Pirate, 'eh fellow detectorists?

fwiw, DailyMotion also carried each episode within hours after it was aired.

I discovered this show when I was going through one of the hardest times in my life.

Ironically, I didn't start detecting because of the show, but I did start watching Time Team and that led to watching Thames Mudlarkers.

Even then it took a while before I started swinging a coil. Now I am hooked.

Every once in a while I will be out in a field early, Deer playing in the woods, blue sky, and I remember the times in this show where it is just you and the earth, beautiful moments whther I find anything or not.

Detectorists captures all the sweetness, the hope and the personalities of this hobby so well.

Show me to the non ferrous metals MATE!

Stanley got big.

It will be great to see the DMDC crew again!

I wonder though, will Andy still be using the Deus 1 or has he upgraded?
I am sure Lance will still be using the CTX 3030.

I hope at least young Hugh has upgraded from the VX30.

There have already been photos of Lance still using his CTX.

I don’t know the Deus detectors well enough to tell from these photos if Andy has switched to the Deus II, but Russell is now swinging a Vanquish.

It's been a while since I marathoned this brilliant show. What was Art swinging?

Today’s the day when we get to see our fellow hobbyists at the DMDC again. 9:00 pm London time on BBC2. If you have the ability to watch it air live, I believe that’s 4:00 pm Eastern time and 1:00 Pacific time.

Watched it tonight...it was ok, but it seems there was an underlying message about being an ethical detectorist, the only think was they got a couple of things wrong...

To shoe horn the ethical detecting message into the plot, the story took some turns I don't think fitted with the original characters or earlier story lines...

So all in all, for me it was enjoyable, but not as good as any of the previous series....

I watched it live as well.

I think the storyline was a little too rushed in order to squeeze the show into 75 minutes, which made the first 3/4 not feel the same. That said, the end felt like Detectorists.

I just finished watching it, and was somewhat disappointed. It had a bit of a "dark" edge to it, and for the most part, lacked the endearing qualities of the series.
