Sadly the actress who played Becky's mum, Dianna Rigg has passed away since the last series, but it's good to see the majority of the original cast are going to be in this special..

Andy has always used an XP Deus, so I’m wondering if he’ll be using a Deus II now?

Tom you absolutely have to either stream the detectorists British TV show or go buy the CD. I promise you and the wife will love it. Impossible not to love it.

I think everybody in the world of detecting has seen that show. I have watched every episode at least twice.

After shows like Diggers and Curse of Oak Island i do not watch any television show about detecting. I have never heard of the show that you were talking about.

Since i do not like 90 percent of the movies that are made i do not use netflix.

It's not one of those "reality" shows, it's a tounge in cheek British comedy about a bunch of wacky Metal Detectorists and really well written.
In addition to having a star studded cast (any old timers on here remember Emma Peel from the old British Avengers show?) who will have you saying "where have we seen that person before".

It was a great show, is still playing on streaming services for FREE and I highly recommend it. My wife loved it and she's NOT a detectorist at all.

The Detectorists Special (2022)
The upcoming Detectorists special will be a 75-minute episode, set to air later in 2022. It will catch us up with the characters five years after the big events of season 3

@robby4570

Are you able to watch BBC2 or BBC iPlayer with Roku?

Those will be the only two ways to watch the new Special and I’d like to figure out how to watch it when it airs sometime in the next few weeks.

This thread has had a few weird takes, but it has been light hearted and entertaining, and fortunately it has escaped his inane blather. Let him muddle up every other thread in GHD.

From radiotimes.com
"Fans of the Detectorists will have to wait until 9pm on Boxing Day for that Christmas special." (Dec 26th)

Detectorists is on BBC Two at 9pm on 26 December.

Now to find out how to watch it in the states ?

It appears that the only way to watch it in the US is to have a VPN and stream it on BBC iPlayer.
