Hello from South Africa.
I am new to the forum, but not new to metal detecting.
I have been detecting for many years, and mainly focus on British military relics from the South African frontier wars.

Welcome to the forum from the United States.
When you have time, could you post some photos of your finds?
The Anglo-Zulu wars including the battles of Isandlwana and Rork's drift were a very interesting time with all the wide variety of military and homeguard units involved and their assorted accoutrements.
