I'm once... twice... three times on the 2026 silver board.

After driving by a 1912 house literally forty or fifty different times over the last few months, yesterday I caught the young couple who bought it at work and got enthusiastic permission. Returned today to cover what I couldn't get to yesterday. 1959 and '64 Roosevelt dimes and a 1964 Kennedy half (the '64 Rosie I gave to the owners). The half rang at 35, maybe 36 on the Nox; I put it on the ground and it hit 33 (which still seems high??) so I went back to the spot and the '59 Rosie was about 10 inches away, maybe I was swinging across both of them. The ring gave me a jolt but it's plated, not solid. Funny that none of the coins have the age that the property has, no wheats found either, just clad change that has been there a while. The brass hose nozzle sounded like a silver quarter... oh well, I will soak all the dirt out and put a new washer in it and it will be way better than any modern one; already using another one I found detecting.

Congrats on the triple silver hunt Iggy. Great way to start the year. Patience payed off in getting the new permission. I would slow down on my return, unless fill was brought in, there is bound to be some older stuff to be had. Good luck.

Congrats on the silvers. Those hose nozzles pop up from time to time. I've found four so far, and one of them I use. Well done.

Also was nice that a place that I always thought looked promising when I drove by came through. Some of the best looking permissions I have gotten had little or nothing... maybe they had been done before.

No more silver coins when I revisited my new permission last night, but I ventured over to a corner of the lot, detected around some fruit trees and found something considerably older: an early 1930s brass token for HyVis motor oil. The thing under the V is an O (for oil?) with feet. Didn't get a shot of the back; token was slippery after soaking in mineral oil and flew out of my hand and is now behind my stove.

Losing token behind stove reminds me when, a few yrs ago, I lost a gold band in the dash of my F150. Had to parially dismantle the whole dash to retrieve band!
