After driving by a 1912 house literally forty or fifty different times over the last few months, yesterday I caught the young couple who bought it at work and got enthusiastic permission. Returned today to cover what I couldn't get to yesterday. 1959 and '64 Roosevelt dimes and a 1964 Kennedy half (the '64 Rosie I gave to the owners). The half rang at 35, maybe 36 on the Nox; I put it on the ground and it hit 33 (which still seems high??) so I went back to the spot and the '59 Rosie was about 10 inches away, maybe I was swinging across both of them. The ring gave me a jolt but it's plated, not solid. Funny that none of the coins have the age that the property has, no wheats found either, just clad change that has been there a while. The brass hose nozzle sounded like a silver quarter... oh well, I will soak all the dirt out and put a new washer in it and it will be way better than any modern one; already using another one I found detecting.
