On a serious note...the pennies cost more to produce than the 1 cent they are worth. Everything will be rounded off to a nickel but the nickels cost even more to make ..14 cents to make a 5 cent nickel..so you have to wonder if they will be eliminated also?

I’ve been saying for years that they need to get rid of pennies & NICKELS . A dime is a 1960s penny. I’m guessing, I’m not going to research it but it’s got to be close. Point being we don’t need them and the country is losing $ making them.

so here is the question. If they stop making pennies does that mean other than for collecting . pennies will become worthless? So can we now start melting them for copper?
