Those are awesome. So creative, there use to be several of them on ebay to look at.

That's cool. I never heard of these before and had to look them up. I see they were very creative with minimal tools.

Most likely though, there's a bunch of modern creations of Hobo Nickels being passed off as the real thing. I wouldn't trust Ebay on these.

Ex wife #1 had one that her father gave her 50 years ago.
The most famous hobo nickel carver was a fellow named "Bert". He often altered the word "liberty" to just say "bert" or "berty".
The one she had was of a hobo with his bindle on his shoulder, and it said "berty". I can't imagine what it's worth today.

Here is My recent one I just made Yesterday. Its A Classic Hobo with a hat and beard with a tie on a 1936 Buffalo Nickel.. Carved By JB Coin #32
