Wanted to say hello and introduce myself. Used to detect a bit with my dad when I was young. Just picked up his old Tesoro Bandido II uMax (late 90's) North Carolina native of the RDU area, currently in Durham. Would love to hear folks experience and potential areas in the area. Development has gotten so out of hand in the area that most of the colonial/civil war era spots have been developed over. Limited public areas that I've felt comfortable hitting not knowing too much about regulations and overlapping organizations that mange the lands. Would also love to get connected w/ a few folks in the area to learn about getting permission from land owners/organizations and/or clubs in the area. Seems the clubs don't update very regularly as to whats going on.
