Yep! Still in NM and as lonely as ever. I still have the pulltab logo. It's in my files and I'll upload it again. My motto now is "work smart, not hard". I'm 73 (and 3/4ths) but I'm taking Ozempic (for type II Diabetes, NOT weight loss), and am getting fitter and better. Still, walking a long distance to find stuff is not really gonna cut it. Fortunately...
ENTER, BUCEPHALUS! My mobility scooter! I'm gearing up for summer and hopefully (if I don't get creamed! Drivers in NM are simply insane!) I'll hit a park that's never been touched! YIPPEE! Tomorrow I'll be working on attaching detector-mounts on Bucky and seeing if I can actually get this rig going! I have a 45 mile range battery, and a 15 mile range backup, so I'm doing pretty good. Sadly, in a two day search of the Interwebs AND using AI to help.... there are NO lockable, hard sided rear mount cargo carriers! Baskets a-plenty, motorcycle mounts galore... but for a 1" receiver mounted lockable case? Nada! Looks like I'm gonna have to custom make one. GRRRR.

Sadly, no. In fact, I ran it by several places on the Interwebz and got zip zilch! VERY strange indeed! I don't think we will ever find out. For those wondering, here is the 'inscription' or text(?) of the ring in question-

Welcome back SG I too went awal for quite some time. Man life hits you hard sometimes. I went to the doctor a couple years or so ago and found out I wasn't in a good way. So a triple bypass and stunts in the legs later I made it back. I too am on Ozempic for the type2 but getting better and hope to get back out detecting soon. Good exercise.

Wow! Triple bypass! Be on the alert for post op personality changes! So far, I've known two or three people who've had bypasses, and WOW were they ever different when they came out! My FIL had a quintuple bypass. He came out, threw out EVERYTHING in the house, had a massive garage sale, getting rid of old family photos, telling us we had to move (we did. To San Francisco!) and then married a gold digger who fleeced him but good!!
Second guy had a triple bypass, and went from liberal to conservative within a few weeks! He then became a "monarchist" saying that America needed a king! He ended up dumping us as friends, because he suddenly disagreed with our politics, and the fact that we didn't WANT to be ruled by a monarch. That was back in the 1990s. Before tht, he had been a radical Marxist!
I'm not at all sure WHAT causes the shift, but I've seen it in patients. Stick to metal detecting! It's safer. LOL
