Today I went back to an old abandoned house five mins from where I live that dates back to at least 1940 on Historic aerials website. I work my way from behind the trash and iron littered back of the house to the front where I found the goods. About 20 feet from the front of the house I get a double signal in one area about a square foot. First I dig a wheat and than I found my first ever silver Rosie. I cover that hole and go about five feet over and get a 17 VdI on my equinox 800. I dig it and find my first War nickel! I looked at my settings and dropped my recovery speed from 6 to 4 because I was in a less trashy area. I swing back over the area I found the wheat and Rosie and get another deep signal. Out from about 10 inches comes another Rosie. Two more coins to scratch off my list. It's funny that I went from a first silver of a Merc, Washington, Barbie, Reales to jumping the time line back to a Rosie. I ended up with four wheat, two Rosie's, war nickel, a nice little flat button with shank still attached, a d buckle that I don't think is too old and a bunch of loose coins I found under a tree nearby. If anybody wants to know the program I am running shoot me a message and I will share the link to YT.

That’s a nice result from a good search. I like the way the old place looks. Places like that seem t be whispering that they have things to give if you look carefully enough.

Really nice finds!

Well done on the silvers. Yep that would be a multi visit site for sure.
Thank you guys! The place is really cool and the best part all I had to do was call my local police station and got the OK to hunt. I did run into an older gentleman there last year but I guess he never did the front of the house, as you can I see I planted my gear right where I found the silvers. I will be going back again, this is 4th or 5th time I have been there.

Grats on the first Rosie's. Do you slow your swing speed way down with Recovery speed at 4?
Yes. I have learned to slow down even running 6. Running all metal I am really trying to focus on hearing the tones and not looking every two seconds at the VDI's every time I hear something in the headphones. I was able to pick one of my wheats in a high trashy area in the back of the house with the 15 inch coil. Seeded hunts is another story....smoke comes off my coil as I swing.🤣

Thank you, it was a surprise for me too! This is three weeks in a row finding silver. I would like to find a flying eagle like your avatar!
I don’t dig a lot of Indians but I got very lucky finding that one. It was my third old coin ever. Out pops a flying eagle. You just never know! Good luck

Congrats on the pair of Rosies, wheats and war nickel aj. A multiple silver hunt always makes for a great day. Good luck. Mark

Thank you Mark! What is great is the Rosies are in such great shape I can use the 1951 I found to fill an empty spot in my silver dime book that I started. Seeded hunts I have been to use a lot of silver rosies in the event.

Good play-by-play and pix. You have gained entry into many exclusive & elite clubs But don't worry : The Hazing rituals aren't that hard. We'll go easy on you . :)
