Got stuck today by a flower frog. It was upside down in the hole. Curious what gloves folks use. I like the thinner coated gloves, but my finger hurts.

I always wear gloves when detecting. I've been using the Minelab gloves, the grey and black ones, for years. They hold up really good and are comfortable but, the velcro around the wrists wears out. I recently got a pair of Serious Detecting gloves and they are nice so far.

Yep the ones like the Atlas works for me as well. Gloves or not, don't dig with your hands. Sure way to get sliced or jabbed. I've been cut before and I was wearing gloves.

i use cut rated gloves. i can pick them up at most of the hardware stores and farm stores around the area. this time of year i wear water proof insulated ones I've always wore gloves of some sort outdoors, saves on cuts, blisters, burns etc. I've still got my share of scars. I've slit very good leather gloves from fingertip to wrist on sharp things in the woods, but sometimes preventing even a scratch to me. i just grab another pair and keep going. Most of my male relatives were the same way.

Milwaukee cut proof gloves. I think I have the level 5s. The work with phone touch screen and you can feel through the glove. Thin and easy to manipulate items. Only issue is that they wear out after a few months. But for $10 you can just buy 4 a year

I dislike wearing gloves in general, but as the weather gets colder, I see them as a necessary evil.
I generally use the waterproof/insulated versions sold as wearhouse /coldstore/ work gloves:

The main thing with these is the whole glove is waterproof, not just the palm..

They are cheap enough not to worry if I loose one, and they generally last me one or two winters before the waterproofing starts to fail.
