Does the Equinox give an alert, a flashing battery level maybe, before it shuts down due to a totally dead battery?

Ok so a "BF" appears and automatic shutdown occurs. Reading manual passages is frustrating. I asked the question here to regular users of the Equinox to get an idea if I have 30 minutes of hunt time left after such a display. I've never ran a battery down to shutdown on the Nox before. I just wanted real world experiences from someone who has had them go to shutoff and what they saw.

The manual for the Equinox lacks a lot. I do appreciate knowing about the BF battery level flag from reading that part just now. I like asking here though, to folks who have actually gone thru a full shutdown. As John Belushi would say, "We don't need any stinking manuals!"

So when the single bar flashes, showing 5 percent is remaining, about how much runtime is left?

I would say it depends on the capacity of the battery. I just bought a brand new battery for my nox. My old battery would die within 6 hours. Usually once the battery bar starts flashing, I consider my hunt just about done. It usually doesn't last much longer after that. Maybe 15 minutes. I'm definitely going to start carrying a power bank so I can charge while I'm hunting. So tired of having to pack up early cause the battery is flat!

Thanks. This was the first time mine actually flashed on me so I wondered how much time was left. I've not needed the power bank yet, but it is in my gear along with a charge cable just in case.

only happened to me once when I forgot to charge and headed out to a hunt site not knowing until I got there and fired it up that I was low on juice... so I was watching it.

I think I had less than 15 minutes at one bar before it just stopped.

Was it a flashing 1-bar?

I don't remember if it was flashing or not. It's been more than two years since the event and it wasn't important to me at the time. Sorry I can't help more.
