I know. But every time I think you've hit rock bottom , you seem to top yourself and sink lower.🤣🤣🤣

I appreciate your confidence Earl, but I've never considered hunting with others to be a competition, but more of a team/group effort, unless I was entered in a specific organized treasure hunt competition. I know you always want to turn every hunt into a competition, but nowadays, I just enjoy hunting at my pace, I find what I find, congratulate the other guys for their finds, then clean up, go to dinner with the guys, and laugh & spin yarns about the rings that "got away", lol.

I go for the camaraderie, enjoyment, thrill of the hunt, exercise, being out on a beach and in water, and also the possibility of making some really nice old finds. Although I love finding cheddar as much as the next guy, I always get a special thrill when I find IHP's. I got my start detecting as a kid, coinshooting for old coins, so finding old coins, especially IHP's, would make my day. Finds or not, every hunt gains me more experience and teaches me something along with the good times I have. As I always say; "A bad day detecting on the beach beats a good day at the office", lol.

BTW, KOB is a much more accomplished beach hunter than I, and he's actually hunted rock covered beaches, where the beaches I've hunted may have held smaller rocks, pebbles, crushed seashells, but nowhere near as large as the rocks in KOB's pic or on Craig's beach, so that type of hunting would be totally new to me, so put me down as a "Hunting the beach between large rocks & boulders rookie". KOB would definitely have the advantage over yours truly. But then again, who friggin' cares, lol. A blind squirrel finds an acorn every now and then, so maybe I just might stumble upon a nice chunk o'cheddar, lol.
Couldn't agree more about what you said in first paragraph, when OBN came up second time without Earl, He was tramatized by our rocky beaches and decided to stay home, it does that to southern hunters who are used to soft fluffy, feathery sand  First thing Earl types was to make a competition between OBN and myself, I hate that nonsense, we don't do that nonsense, when I was on the gold at one beach, I called OBN to hunt the spot I was hunting, I do that all the time, I was on the gold and invited PI JOE and Louct on different hunts to hunt my area.

Us southern boys have our own unique challenges hunting on our beaches.
Northern snowflakes couldn't handle it and would need to retreat to their "safe zones".

If you are going to address OBN then don't quote my thread again, you already quoted it once.
He's scared , just like everyone else , you already told him not to release your movie star photo , and nobody else here has the dodads -to AI the bosses pick in a Cfm-ct museum Ai seen , am I right , or wrong :?::lol: PS I put that quote out to OBN , knowing he wouldn't respond, to get your reaction :shock: It worked , :holycow::twister::lol:

Agreed. I think a lot of guys miss the fact that a beach is never "worked out", and since beaches change every day, some days you'll hit, other days you'll strike out. But IMO, I believe each beach holds tons of treasures, they just might be buried a few feet down in the sand, beyond reach of our detectors.

But the next storm that comes in and removes a few feet of sand, those long hidden goodies might now be available to detect. That window of time might only last a day or two, but it proves that there's tons of treasures to be found on every beach, just need to hit it at the right time. So, no need for greed. Share with other hunting buddies and they'll share with you. Together, a group/team is much stronger than 1 individual.

The Earth's core is all water, I don't want to drown :boat::lol:
LOL, Earl, I don't think you need to worry about drowning in water at the Earth's core, because there isn't any water in the Earth's core. The only "liquid" flowing would be molten lava from rocks melting at the insanely high temperatures.

Ever boil eggs? Water boils at 212 degrees F, turns into steam then evaporates. The core of the Earth reaches temperatures around 10,000 degrees F, almost as hot as the sun. That's 47x hotter than the temp it takes to boil water, so any water that did happen to trickle down towards the core would be instantly vaporized during the journey, long before reaching the core.

So, you'd be safe from drowning in water, but not safe from melting & drowning in molten lava, lol. 🔥
