Can anyone Identify this cobb coin

Still, it's an interesting find (albeit a significant letdown). Hopefully, it's at least a true silver replica, as Scoundrel suggested. :)

I can attest that it is a fake coin. I have 2 of them. One was found at Wabasso and the other one was found in Ft. Pierce. If they don't weigh about 20 grams or so they are fakes. Everything is deep on those beaches because of the sand replenishment done last winter and spring.
Thank you ok. I was in the clouds for a couple weeks. I was given a nice silver chain and a Atocha copy years ago from a dear departed friend and had hoped to buy a real one or find one somehow some day ... How much do your fakes weigh and are they the same?
Is there any way to see which beaches are being replenished and when? I have been all over the state digging up mostly old beer can parts for a month.

Weight will depend on what size the cobb is supposed to be. There's a few links out there, here is one I found quick on google to list the weight.

A great resource for cobbs is the link I will put below; if you're interested in buying they'll be hosting another treasure auction here in a month or two. Last year the auction was loaded with silver and gold cobbs, certified from their sources. I think they finished around $4million in sales in the last 3 day auction. I bought some gold pieces that were great.

Beyond weight, the easy spot for yours being fake is the details on it mentioned before.

Here is a picture of my 2 fake reales. You can see they are close to identical. one weighs 2.8 gr. and the other is 3.3 gr. I've had them checked by an expert on reale coins. I own a few denominations of reale coins and these are not even close. The beaches are all being replenished. They started a couple of weeks ago. They are just going down the line shoring up the beach access points. They'll probably be all done by late March or early April. Eight reale coins should weigh close to 28 grams. But all silver coins can lose wieght after sitting on the ocean floor for so many years. The coins will thin out. So getting underweight coins can be expected.
