Another session at my newest standing permission. Stated out with a 1919 wheat but that was it for old coins. Next was a live Super-X .44 Magnum round. A bit later a sketchy signal produced a metal rectangle which at first looked like junk until I realized it was a letterpress printing engraving, and automotive! Shows a Maxwell convertible; the brand ended in 1925. A couple months ago at the same place I had found some bits of the bottom half; all I could read on the biggest one was "$745 FOB Detroit." Glad the top half was well preserved. I love digging early automotive-relate stuff and I ran letterpresses for 38 years so I was happy.
