Smile Face to face with history

Today I scanned a narrow trail in the woods.
After walking some meters, finally a good but
elusive signal in both directions.... only some
2 inches down in the middle of the trail, this tiny
nazi coin from 1940 popped up
Therefore,it is a good advice to scan those trails
where people along the years walked by.
For this old continent today's find of a 1940 coin could
seem to be so much of a sensational find. But for me,this
coin waited over 60 years - I'm happy

that's a great find! congrats!

the only problem i've had with detecting on trails or old roads/paths is i find the ground to be extremely hard to dig. some of that stuff really gets packed down over the years.

Pete

Pete,
that's true. But frustrating most of all is when you have to dig
among all these roots

Nice find! Paths are sometimes hard to dig, but they're a good place to search for sure, people are always losing stuff...
