Default New to this forum, hello hello
Hi guys, my name is Anastasia. I've been metal detecting since I was little, but never using my own equipment. It's high time I change that and go for a metal detector!

I majored in ancient history at Oxford (England) and I love all things old: tradition, coin shooting, collecting and researching metal artifacts.

I'm pleased to have found this forum!

Thank you, guys! The Garret ACE 350 is the one I'd like to get, though I might have to settle for something a bit less expensive at first.

Rudy - the legends of the Grand Duchess are fascinating, but it's my nickname. I was born in Eastern Europe and it derives from that.

Welcome Anastasia! So glad you joined us. Is your location "somewhere between England and the USA" metaphorical or are you on an island? I'm guessing metaphorical. I think you made a great choice going for the ACE 350. There are lots of very knowledgable folks on this site and they can offer you TONS of solid advice and ideas. Thanks! It's metaphorical - I'm both British and American. It's also a bit of an inside joke in our extended family, that a good compromise for Christmas/Thanksgiving/etc. would be for everyone to meet halfway across the Atlantic.
