Default 10 Wheats and more silver...

Woke up today with my knee feeling a little better, so I decided to continue at the location I was hunting yesterday...[IMG][/IMG] Nice and warm, 40 degrees worth, the sun was shining, and amazingly enough, the dandelions are still flowering[IMG][/IMG] Made the decision to rework the area I cleaned all the clad out of, and I soon realized that the sketchy signals left were coins, deep and on edge. After a half dozen Wheats and some shallower clad, I heard my favorite sound, and cut a plug. Notice the edge of a silver peeking out...[IMG][/IMG] Nice, no skunk for me today!. Kept gridding the same section, pulling a shell casing, clad, 4 more Wheats, then another good sound. This here silver was on edge, about 10" down. I missed on the pinpointing and had to pop it out from the side of the hole...[IMG][/IMG] By now, my knee was protesting again, so I called time. Here's the dirty finds, with the dozen keepers on the left...[IMG][/IMG] I will be back later with pics of the cleaned keepers, but enjoy these for now, and I hope you got out and found yours today!

Good Job Bruce! I was out today too for a bit. Man, I can't believe how warm it is for January! I found a pocket knife and a wheat penny. Didn't get a date off it yet.

Nice hunting Captain. I love the picture of the park with the old houses in the background. Makes me wish I was there hunting with you. Congrats on the silvers.

Thanks for the love, everyone, you all inspire me! It's not going to last, this decent weather, I'm figuring the grassy ground will be frozen by Sunday night, and this time it'll stay cold for a while. I'm taking tomorrow off from hunting for sure this time, it's going to pour down rain, and I don't need to get sick to go along with my normal aches and pains. Would be nice to find a few quarters to go with all the dimes I'm collecting, but I'll take whatever silver I come across just to keep the run, and my education, going. I learned some new tricks in the field today that aren't in the 'book' that comes with the F75LTD, and I'd imagine they'd work with the T2 as well...I never thought I'd have this much fun or success when I first started out, and constantly hunting trashed and pounded parks and public areas has taught me well...Very well

Default I forgot to attach these pix...

[IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG] All the Wheats are toast, thanks to the soil, the oldest is 1938. Mercs are 1925S and 1936. Both gave normal vdi's once cleaned, unlike yesterday's Merc...
