Default Set Budget for a new Water Machine

Hey guys, someone I know wants to get a water detector and has a max budget of 450 (no more). He will be detecting beach waters here in Minnesota and wants to know what the absolutely best detector he can get for that dollar value. I have never used a water machine and cant really help him.

Any ideas?

I think his best bet or that price is a used AtPro or a used Tesoro Sand Shark. Most water detectors are around 1000 bucks.

Does he already have a GOOD scoop? That's about a hundred bucks right there. He may find a used one of those cheaper too. I saw a used older impulse for sale on here the other day. Want to say it was going for the 300 buck range....

Thanks for the input guys, I am going to buy a Tiger Shark, mostly just for Fresh water. IT should be more than fine.

Mike

Sounds like a plan there Mike... I'm looking at the SAND Shark for the salt water here myself. Can't beat that lifetime warranty! I surprised that the White's fans haven't chimed in yet. Maybe the $$ amount kept them away.

I'm a Whites guy In that price range I would look at a Detector Pro like the Wader it runs very hot and is good on small gold as is the Tereso Tiger Shark... if you are digging freshwater forget about a detector like the Sandshark...
