Default First hunt of the year scores a headstamp - video

Got out yesterday for a little while. I didn't find much, but I did find one shotshell head. I also found a cool, old beer bottle and a canning lid that is a bit different than most. It is a lif off of "The Presto Jar". It has some neat endorsements.

I took my camera with me when I went out and was able to film a "full dig" on the shotshell. The video is at the bottom. Don't laugh too much at the video.

Thanks for looking!

The deer is hard to see. It is in the center of the frame and starts to move to the right. I also said Teknetis 2000 and meant to say Teknetics Alpha 2000.

What's with the actual turtlefoot? Great video and congrats on the headstamp. VERY ODD TID on the stamp though. On my machines I almost always get a solid nickel or pull tab signal on a headstamp.

That is the first headstamp that jumped all over the place like that. I figured out pretty quickly that I had the sensitivity up too high, which might have been the problem. The detector was very unstable until I dropped the sens down one bar.

Christmas gift. It has less than ten hours on it.

Nice video Turtlefoot, I'm glad you showed the full dig. Have you thought of getting a full shovel for when hunting in the woods. I've got one with a long blade on it fOr those deeper targets. It really saves on the sore back. I actually tied a carabiner (sp?) onto the handle of mine so I just clip it to my pouch and drag it behind me while I'm swinging. I actually found 6-8 'turtlefoots' myself today. I'll add them to the rest of the future shipment. Some of them were stamps I hadnt seen before. Take care.

That's my first one...

Approximately 10 minutes to set up and shoot everything.
Approximately 30 minutes in editing and title creation.
Approximately 60 minutes to upload to YouTube (slow connection).

All of this for a thirty second dig...

Electronic media production is my chosed field. It's something I enjoy doing, but when it comes to detecting and filming alone, it sure cuts down on the amout of targets dug.

No, this video was shot with a Toshiba Camileo S20, WVGA format @ 60 frames per second. I usually use the WVGA for Internet reasons, although this camera will also shoot 720p and 1080p.

Thanks for the compliment. I appreciate it.

Doug
