and not too bad for just 30 minutes on the way to work this morning. Stopped off at a neighborhood park in downtown Little Rock...the last time The King was by there wanting to hunt it, it was full of teenage kids so He just moved on to another site.
Anywho, no one there at 6:45 am and the hunt proceeded uninterrupted...first hunted near a bench where many of the kids had been seen milling about on the previous visit but nothing but some quart beer container screw caps turned up. Then moved on to a separate swing set where 2 North Dakota quarters were recovered about 12 inches apart...guessing a pocket spill....then around a separate slide and found ...nothing! Finally moved onto the sand based totlot and began around a horizontal ladder with 1 mem...on to a self-powered whirlgig ...KT hunted the toss zone....some 2 to 6 feet out from it and recovered 3 mems and 2 dimes...each spaced about 1 foot apart ![]() Finally a gymset with slides and a couple of mems ...while leaving was walking across the lot swinging and eyeballed another mem on the surface...Total Royal Tax revenue for this final hunt of the year was 9 coins for 75 cents.....better than $1 average per hour. Satisfying hunt. Pic shows the take. The two quarters KT had missed on a previous hunt due to their dark appearance..the other coins are fresh drops since the previous hunt a month ago. __________________ |

WoW 54 lookers and not one single comment...that's a record I think!
![]() ![]() ![]() For the record, other than not finding some junk, like costume jewelry, zipper pulls or colored pull tabs...this is about half my average hunt take for 2011....now that gives ya an idea of how often I hunt! Looking back at my records for 2011, KT hunted 377 times in 10 months! Fanatic or what????!!!!!! Granted some sites were hunted 10 or more times if they were good ones and many only once if they were not or it was a one shot chance, like when KT was traveling. That's an average hunt take of $1.44+ over 10 months....starting March 1. And of course, I will never recoup the cost of the gas money, but it was more fun than the cost of gas money could buy! __________________ |

Nice 2011 season King, like you I got out for a short hunt today to complete my year. North winds were brutal. Some ground is frozen up here in Wisconsin and all will be by morning.
I enjoyed the posts and know your persistence will take you to new levels in 2012. Congrat's Jack __________________ |

Congratulations, King, on a great year, 10,000+ coins,
that's a LOT of detecting and recovering the tax monies. May you recover even greater amounts in 2012!
