Default Ack! White's Commercials!

I was compelled to join this forum due to the constant barrage of White's commercials.

*If* I get involved in this it would be strictly at the hobby level. I have too many other expensive hobbies.

And if I buy it'll be Garrett's since their factory is two blocks from where I work.

Anyway...Howdy!

Those commercials are pretty bad. But if they are driving folks to check out mding, can't be all bad.

I've been seeing them quite a bit just now the past week or two. I wonder why the wait until winter time to advertise a bunch, kinda weird.

Their machines can ignore junk like nails and bottle caps so you can find only gold and silver jewelry and coins...tell you what's in the ground before you dig...you will lose weight and get in shape...finally...your wife has been bugging you to get a hobby and spend even more time away from her...

Uh Huh....All sounds about right to me!

Welcome to the forum where you will find lots of help learning the hobby that will keep you healthy and happy with finds.. One thing I picked up from this forum is many new people even enjoy the odd finds they get along with the gold, silver and coins they find, along with relics from the past.

When you find a good find work the spot real good for other deeper coins slowly over lapping moving ahead just a little at a time. I have found more coins that way.

Are you all talking about this:

Anyone can make a commercial. Only a few can make a good one. I've seen worse. It's your basic informative spot, just no "concept."

Wow. I would be dumpster diving, harrassing employees for stuff and, just for kicks, asking to MD the smokers area outside just to see their reaction.

Seriously, I'd be all over that factory like flies on....well, you know.

TRETRIM,
As long as new metal detecting hobbyists are willing to learn and follow our code of ethics, you're right, it might help our cause by having a larger following. But, if the new detectorists are just getting in it to try to make a fast buck due to gold and silver prices and have no concern about the correct techniques, it will hurt us all. Any one who knows of a new member of our hobby, encourage them to join the forums and follow our code of ethics and explain why.
