Default I figured out how to get around asking permission!!!

I decided it is easier for me to buy the old house/property, metal detect it til I know it's cleaned out, then sell it.

Wife looked at me funny but she didn't say no so...

Hey! I like it. Or maybe lease the property in question for a month while you take time to decide if you want to buy it! Then you could MD there to your hearts content.

No silly, leasing costs money. Think of it like crh'ing. Purchase it, clean out the goodies, get rid of it.
