Default Black powder gun

How did you know it was a black powder gun? Looking at the pics again...is that a percussion nipple at the back of each cylinder?

I have a replica Colt 1850 Army pistol. That cylinder looks like the one on my gun.

Congrats on the pistol! I found a trigger guard just like yours a couple of months ago, but can't read the whole serial number. You should contact Colt and find out if they can give you some history on the gun.

That's what I came up with. But it was just a google search on bullets.

Can you clarify what the serial number is? On my screen, I make it out as 287367. If that is correct, it is definitely not an 1851 Navy, but I might be able to help you figure out what it was and when it was made.
