Default What are these engraved initials?

I found this sterling spoon today at an old homesite and I am trying to link the initials engraved in it to the property owners. It looks like the initials are "BECP" but I really want the last letter to be a "T" since the last name of the original property owners started with "T".

Might be a T..... A fancy way to form it though. The C is formed pretty fancy also, almost like a lower case ''e''. Do the other initials add up to who might have owned it?

Thanks for the reponse. I'm going to email a picture to the 5th generation decendent and current property owner to see if he can place the initials in his family tree.

i also think it's BECP.
i'm not a script-ologist (is that a word? ha!), but i believe a T would have had an upward curve on the end of it as opposed to being curved down and into a loop like that last letter is.

Looks like BECP to me too.
Don't get to hung up on the last initial, 'cause it could have been a woman's inherited silver, which would have her family's (maiden name) initials.

I believe the final letter is a 'T'. I've seen some old writing with similar 'T's. BECT

That first letter may be an R instead of a B, but since it's not an ancient coin, I'm not sure...

It's BECP. Definitely. The font in question looks very similar to the "English 157" font. Check this site out for good font finding.

Here's the font I was talking about:
