Default Christmas Eve clad

I can't believe we would have nice enough weather to go digging on Christmas Eve, but it was sunny and 38, so we layered up and out the door we did go. Decided to re-visit our #1 piggy-bank school for one last go to finish up all the missed spots. I was hoping to find some nice shiny stuff, but I'll take dirty clad anyday! Today's total was $12.18 for a 2 1/2 hr outing. Hubby found the wheatie (a 1947) and one of the nickels is a 1940. The Canadian nickel sounded SO good, I thought I had something silver, but it wasn't to be. : ( If the weatherman is telling the truth about the up-coming weeks weather, we'll probably try for another hunt before the year ends. Good Luck to us all on future hunts. And Merry Christmas to one and all! : )

You guys had a great hunt, congrats on all the clad, and being able to still dig it this late in the season. Happy Holidays!

Great hunt .. There is snow on the ground here, but it is slowly going away.
Might get out in the next couple of days.

Default We're all excited

Hey nice haul for you guys, and I like that Indian. The weather you spoke of seemed a bit brisk, so good for you getting out in it. The temp in Pittsburgh today will get into the low 40's and the sun will be out..I'm hoping to get out for an hour or so. Lot's of family coming to dinner. Winter seems to be holding back for alot of us..Goodie.
