Default Will Lady Liberty ever come back to US coins?

Enough of the dead presidents already! Our coin currency is boring and has looked the same far too long. Will they ever replace the Jefferson Nickle, Roosevelt dime and Washington Quarter with the traditional lady Liberty or something completely different?

I think these coins have worn out their welcome. I know some people would be up in arms removing a president from a coin, but I think they need to be updated considerably.

I could not agree more. Where are the beautiful coins? They are long gone. I'm all for lady liberty coming back.

Pick your favorite coin of all time. Make it out of zinc... Why bother?

I don't care what they make it out of just as long as its changed for the better.

I think clad dimes and quarters circulate 100% better than the silver coins that preceded them. You never see really worn clad dimes and quarters, but silver dimes and quarters frequently are worn smooth. Moving to a copper nickle clad was a good move

A good move financially, as far as costs.

I like the warn feel a lot better. I hate the hard edges and features on the clad coins. Hold a walker and a Kennedy in your hand which one do you put down first? The walker just feels like a big quarter. I love that. The Kennedys feel out of place in your pocket and change dish and you don't pick them up. The hard edges feel unpleasant against your leg in your pocket.

I really hope they get rid of the rag $1 dollars. Clad hunting will be sweet if people start actually carrying dollar coins, maybe a redesigned half dollar, and a $5 coin. If people used a $5 coin, we would come back from the park with $20-$100 in clad each hunt.

Susan B Anthony was so hot! I'm sure the femenist would find some reason not to put lady liberty back on coins, and especially the early bust designs.

I am thinking NO, but hey you never know. I searched for proposals to facelift all US coinage and got nothing.

I really wish they would bring back lady liberty. The presidents and memorials just look tacky and cheap. That's why I love old coins, they're beautifully crafted and fun to stare at

In my opinion the HOTTEST chick ever on a US coin was the gal on the standing liberty quarter. Her legs are AWESOME looking! Admit it, you drooled over her the first time you saw her too.

The 1917 has her showing a boob. I found a 1918 and 1917 in the same hole, they covered up the nipple in 1918.

I'd love to see the seated liberty again. I'm looking forward to getting rid of the rag dollars.

SLQ is easily our most beautiful coin. Not only does lady liberty look a treat, but even better is the beautiful eagle on the reverse.

best US coin ever.
