Default chinese coin

like to know the date on this coin i found yesterday ?
also was this stuff in circulation or did the Chinese just use it among themselves?

I found this site on old chinese coins... http://www.calgarycoin.com/reference/china/china.htm

I looked a little but didn't see that exact coin, but I'm sure it is there.... I hope this helps...

I don't know Chinese coins and yours it pretty worn, but it looks like a coins from Emperor KAO TSUNG AD 1736-1795. I cannot tell for sure though.

Of course it was in circulation..in China!

Looks like in the 2nd pic the coin is upside down...might be a Chien Lung coin, 1736- 1795. These coins are considered to bring good luck so maybe your finds will be better in future..not that this is a bad find in any way
