Default Got dumped because of my friends... haha

Has anyone ever had that happen? I was dating a girl, we out for a few weeks and got along pretty well and she was really hot until I brought her out with my friends. Now "we are too different." She thought it was cute that I "treasure hunt" though. So there is some hope for us!

Don't know your friends, but it's better to get that out of the way earlier than later if your friends mean a lot to you.

haha she's really rich and live in a huge old colonial era house in the burbs (that I was hoping to detect, oh well). Me and my friends grew up in the city in houses way smaller than her garage and are all cops, fireman, and construction workers. She said they where "big and scary" and almost passed out when she seen guns on some of my friends that just got off duty. They funny part is these "big scary guys" would give you the shirts off their backs while her friends wouldnt give someone the time of day. Now she's with some new guy who "went to private schools like she did and can relate to her". I guess it's all about appearence but this was the first time I ever got dumped because of friends. Oh well now I have more time and money to spend on detecting.

Just remember this motto: PALS BEFORE GALS! Your pals are guys who understand you. No woman will ever understand you like they do. Just saying.

New guy already???? Sounds to me like the 'we are too different' line was just a lame excuse.

I could call my friends up right now and ask for anything and i'd have it within minutes. They are all good guys and girls, i'd never give them up for a girl who judges them based on appearence.

Timing my friend, timing. Should've hunted her house before meeting your friends. Live and learn.....Curt

There are different types of women. So many it's even hard to throw them into categories.

Judging you by your friends seems pretty conceited to me.

In the end, it was probably best she dumped you. She probably would of judged other things as well. The type of clothes you wear, the shoes you wear, etc.

If she truly liked you, she would not of dumped you because of this. She is dating you, not your friends.

But then again, maybe she wasn't into you, and did not want to personally hurt your pride, and instead used your friends as an excuse.

But don't take it personally. Date as many women as possible, that way when you find "the one", you will have a little experience.

I probably would not of had my current GF fall in love with me unless I had experience with previous relationships.

So if a girl breaks up with you, don't let it get to you. Just consider it experience for the next time.

haha that's true, but she made me go on a date with her in the first place (well kind of kept asking until I said yes) then was all over me which is why I was confused. I was falling for her so it kind of sucks especially now that she's dating some other guy but oh well plenty of fish in the sea I guess and the up side is more time and money for detecting.

I'm sorry if you think I'm picking on you Detecto, but I think you need to come clean here regarding your current relationship situation before you start dishing out this kind of advice (even though, in general, those are fairly good, common sense tips).

haha good idea she said "they must put something in the water here because guy's arent that big where she lives". Then again most of her friends don't appear to have lifted anything heavier then 5lbs recently. I tried to tell her when guys run jackhammers, fight fires, or have to chase and tackle people in the hood all day you tend to get bigger.

Man, I hope you got some kind of revenge. I know it's better to just move on but revenge is nice sometimes.
