Default My First Gold Ring. :) And garage sale finds. AWESOME WEEKEND:)

Ok let me start by saying I was so pumped up this weekend. I got up early to go garage saling and went to one house that had a box of toys and while digging through it I found this metal jewely box which I opened and much to my amazement it was filled with tones of jewelry. I did end up doing the honest thing and took it to the lady and asked if she meant to sell the jewelry and if so how much for the whole thing. She was astonished because most were her sisters personal jewlry and she was very thankful and started to take most of the gold out and some of the silver rings. But she only took out what meant the most to her. And I got to buy the rest and the box for only 10 dollars. I was so happy cause after getting home there were 2 silver bracelets, 3 silver rings, 1 10k gold ring and some other misc jewelry. OK So that was just the garage sale finds.

Then after gathering my things up I headed out of town to a friends yard where I had previously hunted and had not had the chance to hunt the neighbors yard that had given us permission. Well we started out in my buddys yard hitting the back and front getting the places we had missed last time and only ended up with a few coins 3 of which were wheeties. Then his wife came home and he had to go play house. lol So I then proceeded over to the neighbors yard and started hunting his yard which started to produce imediatly yeilding a few dimes and pennies. The neighbor then came out and mowed the grass for me quickly so it would make it easier on me. I then gridded off the yard and hunted every square inch of the yard. The first cool find was a silver charm ring that was about 7 inch down and I though I was happy then. Well I was wrong and after about 10 minutes I started to get this signal I wasnt gonna dig at first cause it was the lower tone like a pull tab but after looking at the screen it was actually fluxuating a little higher and then bouncing back down to the pull tab. So I figured why not and started digging and got down to about 7 inches and low and behold I see the side of a gold ring. My hands started to shake cause this was my first gold find. Well to cut this short as I have rambled on enough I went home got it cleaned up and it ended up being a 14k gold ring. WHAT A GREAT SATURDAY.

That's a nice ring. Did you ask your neighbor if they had lost it?

It was my buddy's neighbor and he hadn't lost it. So he figured it was from some previous owner. Which worked out for me cause I got to keep it.
