Did I read your tag right? Two rings in four hunts? That is awesome, gold plated or not!

Yes thanks, it was 4th hunt at an elementary school. Yes the feeling of pulling a ring out of the ground is pretty special.

Nice ring - gold plate gets your heart pumping too! Did it have the HGE letters in it (heavy gold electroplate)? First gold plate ring I found, thought HGE was someone's initials; then learned the hard truth - it's still gold though!

Looked at your pic and that other ring looks like one of the last ones I found....all bent up!

Congrats on finding one not all bent up!

Sweet find! A ring is a ring. Counts for your first gold also.

Great variety! I have to laugh when I see everyone's pics, because my guy asked "Are you going to save even the foil, bottle caps, pull tabs and rusty nails?" Like...yes!!

Nice job on the ring.

I found a copper ring that looks identical to that one!

Cool....!

Congrats on the find! I found my first ring two weeks ago (just a cheap child's ring) and the guys are right - got my heart pumping. It showed up as foil at 6" so I learned then to dig everything. I almost passed it up. Haven't found my first gold yet but still digging.
