Just getting back into detecting after a 20+ year hiatus. I live in northern San Antonio and would be interested in meeting others involved in the hobby for advice and hunting partners. I own a Fisher I bought in 1983 and a Minelab I picked up in 1991. Looking to get a new detector and could use any and all advice. I also have a very solid 4x4 for getting in and out of the tough spots.
Anyone else here in SA? |

Welcome from the West side of San Antonio. SA isn't MD friendly in the parks anymore. Before you could get a permit, but the city has revoked all permits. I've talked to a parks and rec supervisor who told me it was because of old buried pipes underground. But a park police officer told me other MD'ers were finding old historical items and not turning them into the city.. Go figure.
I've mostly hit a few tot lots in subdivisions and am trying to find some old homesteads around here. Trying to brush up on my SA history.
