Congrads on the ATP. Manual? Leave it, you can read it later. Throw a handful of coins in the yard and start swinging. Best way to learn.

Thats what I wanted to do, but for maybe the first time in my 52 years, I am gonna read up on it first. When I told the wife that, she almost fainted!

OK, I read a few pages , said screw it and hit the back yard!! First find was a penny, about 5 inches down, then hit an OLD tape measure ~ the round type, at first I thought it was a land mine (I'm a vet). then I hit a key, some trash, some old nails, a 2001 dime at 6" (how'd that ever happen). All together, 18 cents clad. Dang I had fun, now I just gotta figure out what she's telling me.... did I mention I had FUN!!!

You bought a great machine!!! If you haven't yet watch the Garrett At-Pro training videos, they helped me a lot in the beginning..

Read the book last night, twice. I'd rather have a CD and will check out the Garrett videos today. Got out this morning, only for about 20 min as "The Cloud" moved in and the mist/rain started. I know, I know, the ATP is good with the Seattle weather, but this morning I was not! Scored a piece of 2 in od pipe, about 8 inches down in my front yard, some old chunks of iron ~ very rusted and unidentifiable, another penny ~ 196? gotta clean it up ~ and a small brass cap looking thing, about 3/8 in diameter, most likely from an outdoor type light cover... that little thing was loud, hit in the 80s.

suppose to rain for the foreseeable future..........
