Default Nice Hunt!

Wandered a bit and had strong copper tone, yielding the round item w/ strap loop on back... for horse equip?

I think that is a very early horse bridle rosette.

Great Find!

The field I'm in had European activity in the 1640's up through so I expect a wide range of ages of finds. Who knows what could show...

Grampy, How long do you soak coins in water and how long do you leave them in the hot oil?? I just dont get the same result as you when I try that method.

Great finds Grampy!
Indian Heads are rare out here, for me anyway.
Gotta love hunting in good soil where those coin tones are nice and crisp.

I get excited when I find 1 IH, you found four at one time, WOW. I know I have cleaned some of my coins by placing them between potato pieces. Works pretty well, leave overnight and just use a soft toothbrush to remove the loose grit. Congrats on all the finds.
