Default Hunted Two Beaches Yesterday!!

Dual Field, Diablo and I have been going stir crazy for a week now waiting for the weather and tides to give us a break!

Finally I had a chance to get out into the water and check out conditions left by our recent weather.

As I suspected the sand was cleared away down to the stony bottom on the lea side of the stone breakwaters I checked and I was able to retrieve these targets from among those small boulders.

The finds on the bottom are from the first beach after 2 hours of digging.

The upper ones came from what I have come to know as "The Boulder Field" where I spent almost a half hour recovering a dime from among the stones between two boulders too large to move.

One of the dimes is a Merc. and in fair condition rather than wasted away by the elements as most usually are.

I include the trash with the keepers, because every target recovered from among those stones is a triumph of patience and skill!!

The "BF" is protected somewhat by its location and had a larger area to hunt than the first beach.

It's also where I found the last gold rings I recovered and has hidden somewhere out there three more I am looking for I promised I would search for.

After another 21/2 hours my hunting partners, Dual Field and Diablo, and I were ready to call it a day and perhaps we'll find the gold next time,

CJ

Today I got the gold ring you were talking about Craig!

There are few places you'll ever hunt where the digging is worse than the Boulder Field!!

Whatever target settles down among those stones is there to stay untill dug out of there by some hard working hunter.

The junk to keeper ratio stinks, but patience does pay off!

Thanks for your replies,

CJ
