When you get it, take it slow and read, read, read, read, read and when your done, read some more, take a quick break, grab a snack and then read some more.

Once your reading is done, don't be tempted to make major changes to the program.

Choose the default coin program, modify it by opening up the upper right corner, and then make the following settings:

Sensitivity: (Auto) +3
Threshold Limit: just barely audible
Volume Limit: 29
Volume Gain: 29
Response: Normal
Tone ID: Multi
Sounds: Conductive
Variability: 29
Limits: 29
Threshold Pitch: 29
Deep: Off
Fast: On
Trash: High
Ground: Difficult

--Settings from G4E's website and verified by personal use.

Just dont make the mistake I and others made with the E-Trac. Don't go too fast, if you think your going slow enough, youre not.

I LOVE mine! My one year anniversary is coming up and I have planned a nice quiet dinner for the two of us. Just me and the e-trac.
