Found an old clip on earring today, has a goldish color to it but when I tried cleaning it, it started to look more silver. What does the marking 900 mean? Here are some pics... I wonder how old this thing is!

I'm saying its silver but at 900 purity. And a very good find JB. And it could be very old.

I think some platinum is marked 900, so that means its 90 percent platinum. Cool find!
