Looks like I'm going to need to buy me a SE Pro, AGAIN, and do some testing for YouTube. I did a search and found no videos doing a head-to-head between the two.

Having owned both, the E-Trac does seem lighter, but I believe it is because it is designed a little better ergonomically. I also felt the E-Trac was more stable and smoother then the SE Pro, which I felt also gave it a bit more depth. At least I found a lot more deeper coins with the E-Trac from the same areas.

Agree totally. I bet it's the better handle angle on the Etrac that puts a lot less strain on the wrist and forearm is what makes me feel like it's a lighter machine when in actuality it's heavier.

As for depth I would say it's pretty neck and neck. Etrac may be just a tad deeper but I don't notice. Stability wise at depth is a big improvement. I dug a large cent with the SE Pro that had to be at least 10 inches deep with numbers jumping. No doubt the Etrac would have been more stable on this target had I been using it. I come from Fisher machines so I was already used to jumpy numbers all across the board. I think the Etrac makes the "To Dig or Not to Dig" question a lot easier for most.
